LONDON (Reuters) - Britain's hockey face-off with Argentina on Monday gives the higher-ranked hosts a chance to avenge an earlier defeat this year and marks the latest twist in a sporting rivalry stemming from a bloody dispute over a tiny south Atlantic archipelago.

Diplomatic relations between the two nations have soured this year, the 30th anniversary of their brief war over the British-run Falkland Islands, with Buenos Aires pushing hard to have the islands recognized as Argentinean territory.

Britain has refused to back down, arguing that the destiny of the islands, called Las Malvinas in Argentina, should be decided by their 3,000 inhabitants.

Those bitter territorial tensions have spilled over into the world of sport, with media on both sides of the ocean hamming up the significance of battles on the field of play.

British soccer fans still bear a grudge over Diego Maradona's "Hand of God" goal - when he punched the ball into the net - which helped Argentina put an end to England's World Cup dreams in 1986, just four years after the Falklands war.

Argentina then touched a nerve in May with a state-supported television advertisement showing a hockey player training in the Falklands. The video ended with the voiceover: "To compete on English soil, we are training on Argentine soil."

Although the player featured in the advertisement, Fernando Zylberberg, did not make Argentina's Olympic hockey squads, Britain accused Argentina of abusing the Games for political purposes.

British Prime Minister David Cameron stirred things up in June warning Argentina that Britain stood "ready and willing to stand up for the Falkland Islanders at any time".

The two teams will play at 1900 local time (1800 GMT) in their first match since Argentina, ranked 9th in the world, beat Britain, world number four, in June.

Britain are tipped to win the match but media attention will likely focus more on politics. The two teams have little history together, having only met three times in Olympic Games, all of which the British side won.

Argentine President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner will not attend the Games and media have reported her telling Argentina's 142 Olympic athletes at their send-off not to stage any Falklands protests in London.

The Argentine national Olympic Committee quickly distanced itself from the video in May.

?The quality of your communication is directly proportional to the quality of your relationship.? This sentence says it: when your communication is poor, so is your relationship. All of you who read this article will have experienced or are currently experiencing a relationship affected by poor communication. This article will look at how specifically it can affect the relationship.

Starting with the first affects it has on you personally I will then move to the later affects and also the implication is can have on family and the wider community.

Low satisfaction

First and most important communication is a critical, if not the most critical building block of a relationship. If communication is poor, lacking or challenging, then the relationship suffers and does not satisfy human basic needs of connection. On a personal level you might feel sad, disillusioned, upset, angry or frustrated.

Lack of support

Couples also notice a lack of emotional, physical and mental support when communication is disintegrating. Talking to each other is an important way to download the daily grind which supports the psychological and physical wellbeing of the individual.

Reduced intimacy

With the lack of stimulating communication and connection we will also notice reduced of lack of intimacy. Both partner, but especially women need to feel connected and understood which happens when communication is working well, before they feel like being intimate. Your frequency of sexual intercourse will most likely be influenced by poor communication and will reduce further if the problem is not addressed.

Affected health

If communication is continuously poor or lacking there could also be implications on your state of health. Unhappiness, depression, lack of motivation are only some common example of people living in relationships that are deficient of adequate communication. When you think about elderly people living on their own with very little opportunity to communicate you will notice their general state of health will immediately be positively affected when they have interactions.

Arguments, separation and divorce

At the end of the scale and when arguments have continued over a long period of time, relationships will often end up in separation and divorce. If there are children involved it can lead to numerous additional problems like parenting disputes, child support challenges and academic or behavioral school problems for the children.

A new boutique hotel created by a Belgian antique dealer and named The Governor?s House opened earlier this month on Mao Tse Tung Boulevard next to the passport office at the corner of Norodom Boulevard.

Founder and CEO Alain Garnier shipped in two containers full of European antiques to lend old world resonance to the 10-room boutique hotel. His family, of Brugge, Belgium, has been in the antique business for seven generations since 1874.

Garnier has been a primary supplier of antiques to lend to the d?cor of Ralph Lauren outlets worldwide, to create the right atmosphere at the high-end shops in places like New York, Chicago, London and Paris.

?Ralph Lauren created a style and every shop in the whole world is the same vintage, image and feeling you get. I know exactly what they want, leather luggage, and we even make some furniture for them for them,? Garnier said. He has a small factory in Belgium that restores and builds furniture.

Since Garnier?s grandfather was a geologist working in the Belgian Congo, he feels his venture into Cambodia reflects the international entrepreneurial history of his ancestor. Even though he learned so much from his auctioneering family about antiques and jewelry, he took the business in a different direction, importing and exporting, many pieces from Britain into Europe including silver diningware and mahogany furniture.

?Somehow I had to follow the destiny of my grandfather.?

Over a salmon lunch last week in The Governor?s House restaurant, Garnier said he found what he wanted in the villa which he has since transformed into a boutique hotel at No 3 Mao Tse Tung Boulevard. Following the completion of the long remodeling, decorating and furnishing program, he flew off to Belgium on Saturday, intending to return in September.

The Governor?s House is promoting rooms at a 35 per cent discount, between US$130 and $180; each room with its own name, the most expensive being the Jackie Suite at $410.

?We would like to have businessmen and corporate guests. My main market would be delegations from embassies, because this is very private and we have good security.?

The food at The Governor?s House is Asian-Western fusion. The restaurant extends outside to surround the swimming pool, with five tables inside and eight tables outside. Garnier, 50, says the antique business is all about telling stories.

?Now my father is very proud of me. If he had not been so nasty with me, I might be in the boring auctioneer business. I travelled the whole word to buy antiques. When you tell somebody you are in antique business, all the world opens, and they say come to my house and tell me more about this. They want to know about stories about antiques.?

In one case, an old blue porcelain plate from China?s Yuan dynasty was discovered in a city in the south of France and fetched 11.5 million euros (US$14.1 million).

?Sometimes I feel some sadness in the family that the owner could not tell me about some of the story about the piece: where they got it, the story is forgotten and the soul of the piece is somewhere but nobody can bring it over. You have the object but the subject disappears.?

One of Garnier?s friends is Belgium?s Prince Philippe, the Duke of Brabant, to whom Garnier sold a set of six chairs. A year later, the prince wanted to change the chairs, and Garnier said ?no problem? because now they?re royal chairs.

?He put the chairs in his castle, and this becomes a royal piece, in the royal collection of the King of Belgium.?

That associative value is something Garnier is very aware of, at The Governor?s House, he has a wardrobe from French King Louis XIV?s palace at Versailles.

?It is the story that makes the antique valuable. That?s why a Picasso painting is worth $25 million, and a painting by a friend of Picasso is worth $500.

For The Governor?s House, which was the actual residence of a senator in the Cambodian government, Garnier?s idea is that of a colonial hotel.

?I set out to create an original colonial lifestyle in Phnom Penh, to be like a major set like in the Catherine Deneuve film Indochine, like in the sixties, and everybody is dreaming about Cambodia in this period,? he said. ?You can dream here to be in the shoes of someone in the colonial period.?

Refugees flee as Syria clashes worsen

Residents are fleeing Syria's largest city, Aleppo, as fighting between rebels and government troops intensifies.

With thousands of refugees streaming across Syria's borders into Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq, Syrian government forces continued to pound the country's commercial capital, Aleppo in a bid to regain ground won by Free Syrian Army rebels.

The country's foreign minister, Walid al-Muallem, who has not been seen since the devastating bomb attack two weeks ago that killed four of President Bashar al-Assad's top security and defence officials, warned the rebel's big to seize control of Aleppo would fail.

Speaking on a state visit to Iran, the foreign minister described the 17-month long uprising that the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says has left as many as 20,000 dead, as nothing more than a conspiracy of armed terrorist groups serving the interests of Syria's neighbouring enemy, Israel.

?Today I tell you, Syria is stronger ?in less than a week they [the rebels] were defeated [in Damascus],? he said, predicting the same would happen in Aleppo, Reuters reported.

Rebels forces say they have so far been able to hold off the official army in the south-western Aleppo neighbourhood of Salaheddine, while fighting continues in other districts held by the Free Syria Army.

Terrified residents who have been in the firing line for the last week were fleeing the city, and local activists say up to 190 people were killed on Sunday, although that figure cannot be verified.

There are more than 150,000 Syrians registered with the United Nations High Commission for Refugees, although it is understood the number of people who have fled the country is much higher.

Many are staying with relatives in neighbouring countries or delay registering with the UN until they run out food and other basics and are forced to seek assistance, the UN said.

So many have been flooding across the Syrian border into Jordan that it opened its first official camp on the weekend, with enough room for 10,000 refugees and the capacity to expand to 100,000.

Turkey already has several refugee camps for Syrians fleeing the increasingly violent uprising - many of them leaving the city of Aleppo, which is just 50 kilometres from the border - and the UN says it has plans to build two more camps with the capacity to hold a further 20,000 people as the refugee crisis worsens.

Two news items are worthy of note with regard prostate cancer research, each with promise. One says it is more often not the cause of the death of a man who has prostate cancer, the other gives hope for improved detection methods.
First, one new study reveals men with prostate cancer are more likely to die from other diseases, preventable ones like heart disease. The study is from the Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH) and the authors say results suggest that if men diagnosed with prostate cancer use it as a springboard to a healthier lifestyle, they'll lengthen their life.

The study, published in the Advance Access online Journal of the National Cancer Institute, found that in the United States during the trial period 1973 to 2008 for which they looked at the cause of death of 490,000 men who had prostate cancer, only 16% of those men actually died from it. Others died from preventable diseases. Similar results were found in data examined from Sweden.

"Our study shows that lifestyle changes such as losing weight, increasing physical activity, and quitting smoking, may indeed have a greater impact on patients' survival than the treatment they receive for their prostate cancer," Hans-Olov Adami, professor of epidemiology at HSPH, and a member of the research team, said.

New test for prostate cancer may supplant PSA There is also promise of a simpler, more accurate and cheaper detection test, this news coming from the St. James Leader-Journal in St. James, Missouri. The paper writes about an undergraduate student, Casey Burton, who's a chemistry major at Missouri University of Science and Technology. Burton is working on a method of prostate cancer detection that he believes will supplant PSA testing, the current method of testing for prostate cancer. It involves the detection of metabolites in urine samples and only requires diagnostic equipment that most health clinics would already have. His testing relies on a simple chemical reaction and he points out that the PSA requires a more complex procedure and more high-tech instrumentation. ?Instead of using fancy machinery, I can use an enzyme to make the chemical fluoresce,? the Journal-Leader quotes Burton. ?So we can effectively analyze our urine samples, and determine whether or not they contain metabolites.? There's no time frame on when this method will be fully tested and ready for usage in medical clinics and hospitals, but research using Burton's methods remain ongoing at the Missouri University of Science and Technology. Currently, one in six men will contract prostate cancer during their lifetime.

WASHINGTON (AP) ? Call it a triple win for fighting the AIDS epidemic: Treating people with HIV early keeps them healthy, cuts their chances of infecting others, and now research shows it's also a good financial investment.

The International AIDS Conference closed Friday with the message that getting treatment to more of the world's 34 million people with HIV is key to curbing the epidemic, short of a vaccine and cure that still are years away.

"It is unacceptable" that scientifically proven treatment and prevention tools aren't reaching people who need them most, Nobel laureate Dr. Francoise Barre-Sinoussi, co-discoverer of the AIDS virus and new president of the International AIDS Society, told the meeting's closing session.

Former U.S. President Bill Clinton, whose foundation funds HIV work, also addressed the group. "All of you have created the possibility that we could have an AIDS-free generation," he said. "We just have to keep pushing the rocks up the hill."

Spreading treatment will be hugely expensive up-front, but Harvard researchers said Friday that the investment would actually save hard-hit South Africa some money over five years, as savings from treating AIDS-related illnesses exceed the medications' price. Eventually those savings will be overtaken by the costs of treating millions for decades, but treatment-as-prevention still is highly cost-effective, said Dr. Rochelle Walensky of the Harvard Center for AIDS Research.

"People used to think there was no way we can do this," said Dr. Diane Havlir of the University of California, San Francisco, who co-chaired the world's largest AIDS meeting. With both scientific and financial validation, "for the first time we're optimistic that we can."

But new U.S. data show how hard effective treatment is, even in developed countries. Here, most HIV patients have access to treatment, and guidelines say they all should be offered it right after diagnosis. Yet just one in four have their infections under control, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported Friday. Young people and blacks fare the worst.

"We now need big thinking" to improve that number, said Dr. Kevin Fenton, director of CDC's AIDS center, who would like to see it at least doubled soon. "We have the tools. Now we have to move them into real-world policy so they touch the lives of those who need them most."

What to look for next?

?More HIV testing, the first step to knowing who needs treatment. In the U.S., nearly 20 percent of people with HIV don't know they're infected. In some countries, less than half do.

"For every $1 we invest in HIV testing, we recoup $2 in societal benefits," CDC's Fenton said.

?Debate over how best to use another new protection, giving at-risk healthy people the daily AIDS medicine Truvada to lower their risk of infection. In the U.S., it will cost $14,000, and worry emerged at the conference about whether people who took the pill would forgo mainstay protections like condoms.

?Specialists called for overcoming stigma that is blocking the HIV prevention message from reaching many of the people most at risk, especially gay and bisexual men.

Consider Malawi, where homosexuality is illegal and so AIDS prevention stresses heterosexual risk factors, said Johns Hopkins University researcher Andrea Wirtz. Her team managed to study 338 gay men in Malawi, and most said they'd never heard that HIV can be spread through anal sex and didn't know how to reduce their risk, she reported Friday.

__A bigger push for women-controlled preventions when their boyfriends or husbands won't use condoms. Activists asked the U.S. government to send more female condoms to hard-hit poor countries, and research is beginning in Africa on a vaginal ring soaked with a potentially HIV-blocking drug.

?More research to try curing HIV, or to at least put it into remission like cancer, although scientists cautioned that if that is possible, it probably will take 10 years.

?More research into a vaccine, following new clues about a rare kind of antibody that might be able to block HIV from infecting cells.

And the U.S., where patent laws mean HIV treatment costs much more than in poor countries, soon may get a price break. Business owners are now the group of the workforce most disapproving of?President Barack Obama,?according to a new poll from Gallup this morning. Fifty-nine percent of business owners disapprove of the job he is doing, and his?approval rating has plunged to just 35 percent among the group.?

Obama's approval rating among business owners has fallen 6 points in the second quarter of the year.?

The Gallup poll measures a three-month period and was taken before presumptive Republican nominee?Mitt Romney began hammering Obama on his "you didn't build that" comment from a July speech. More likely, it's an indicator of the backlash from sluggish economic growth in the second quarter of 2012.?

The poll's findings are similar to a May Gallup poll, which said that business owners preferred Romney as their choice for president by an astounding 20 percent margin.?

Here's a look from Gallup at how different occupations approve and disapprove of Obama's job performance:

Obama approval

Business owners represent only about 3 percent of the U.S. population, but Gallup's Lymari Morales writes that it's crucial for Obama's rating to improve among this small-but-important group as the election approaches. And that's why Romney is likely to continue his attacks on Obama's "you didn't build that" quote ? and why Obama will have to keep defending what he said in context.

If business owners become more positive about?Obama and his plans for the economy, that could potentially boost his approval ratings and broader?U.S. economic confidence?closer to the?levels necessary?for him to be well positioned for re-election. NBC's Lisa Myers reports on a new book by Neil Barofsky, the watchdog who oversaw the controversial $700 billion bank bailout known as TARP. He claims TARP was much more about taking care of Wall Street, than helping Main Street.

Neil Barofsky was hired by Congress and President George W. Bush to serve as a watchdog over the $700 billion Troubled Asset Relief Program.

Nearly four years later, he?s out with a tell-all book that accuses Washington of using the financial industry rescue package to serve the interests of Wall Street instead of focusing on helping regular Americans.

Barofsky sat down with NBC?s Lisa Myers to discuss the book, ?Bailout: An Inside Account of How Washington Abandoned Main Street While Rescuing Wall Street.?

Barofsky tells Myers he hopes the book gets the public mad.

?I want them to understand that we have a real problem in this country in regulatory capture. ?And we have a real problem with the influence of the banks on Washington. And that we are headed towards another financial crisis unless we do something to deal with it,? he said.

Barofsky went on to say that although the TARP program helped prevent financial Armageddon, it failed in other ways.

?Treasury promised when that bill was passed that it was going to do more than just throw hundreds of billions of dollars at banks, fill in some holes and preserve the broken status quo," he said. "It was going to restore the economy.? It was gonna restore lending.? It was gonna preserve homeownership.? And all of those goals, all those promises, were abandoned through really poor policy decisions.? So, in those aspects it's a failure."

Neil Barofsky, the inspector general in charge of the massive bank bailout is out with a controversial new book, in which he claims the bailout was about helping the banks' bottom line, and not about helping Americans struggling with foreclosures.

Where are the jokes? The thrills? The romance? Who knows what, and when? You need these things to happen at the right times, and that?s what you build your structure around: the way you want your audience to feel. Charts, graphs, coloured pens, anything that means you don?t go in blind is useful.

3. HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY
