SALT LAKE CITY ? The American Cancer Society is asking for Salt Lake City volunteers to help them conduct a cancer prevention study. The study is looking for 1,500 people to participate.
The American Cancer Society included the following information in a press release regarding the study:
Salt Lake residents have only four days left to enroll in the Cancer Prevention Study-3 (CPS 3) by the American Cancer Society. Enrollment events are slated for Wednesday, Nov. 14, from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Questar Center and from 4p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the University of Utah Medical Center.
To be eligible to enroll in CPS-3, men and women should:
- be between 30 and 65 years old
- have no personal history of cancer (this does not include basal or squamous cell skin cancer)
- be willing to make a long-term commitment to the study which simply involves completing periodic follow-up questionnaires.
On average, American Cancer Society Cancer Prevention Studies begin only once every 30 years.
To register for an appointment, interested participants can visit www.cps3utah.org.
