Whether it?s laying down guidelines on the usage of equipment or providing the correct procedure for a specific task, a Work Method Statement can easily greatly decrease incidents of injuries and deaths at work.

Most of the time, government agencies focusing on occupational health and safety require companies to generate and implement a Work Method Statement. Having Work Method Statements in place is generally required before a company can operate.

The lack of the required work method statements often leads to penalties. Occasionally, it can lead to suspension as well as cessation of business operations. The real reason for these sanctions is clear: without having these measures, the government may incur costs in the form of medical treatments or social security payments for injured personnel. Having a set of work method statements also can serve as a continuous reminder to employers to make safety important. For personnel, it could possibly affect behaviour on the job by making them a lot more conscious of their own well-being. For the organisation all together, it could cultivate a culture that values safety above anything else. Crafting an Effective Work Method Statements it looks easy to generate a work method statement.

However, it is not as simple as it looks. It involves dealing with important issues. Are the instructions in-depth enough to allow the safe performance of a task or use of certain equipment? Does it include instructions on the steps to take just before and after operation? Does it discuss the required personal protective equipment a employee has to use or have? Does it consist of specific instructions on what the training and supervision of personnel are conducted? Is it frequently updated to satisfy the newest regulatory or legislative requirements? Most of these questions must be considered to achieve one goal: to guarantee the worker?s safety at all times.

Panasonic Eluga gets official launch date in Japan and Europe

No, it's not the noise of an air-raid siren. It's Panasonic's bold return to the smartphone game. Eluga admittedly isn't the most attractive of appellations, but in the flesh it's drop dead gorgeous. It'll arrive as the P-04D in Japan on NTT DoCoMo on the 29th of this month, while Panasonic's European site now teases that it'll arrive in that continent in April. Oh, and if anyone gives you stick about the name, just remind 'em that its meatier older brother will be along shortly.
